I do not love sitting in the chair for ages. I do not love going out. I do not love ‘making conversation’. Walking into this hair salon, I had modest expectations. I anticipated the usual: a decent cut, some forced small talk, and me doing my best not to sneeze when the hair dryer blasted my face.
