very painful, rude staff
Long time patient. He is very accessible, informative, and has a nice bedside manner.
I went to Tankel to remove a cyst on my back. He did a good job. I went to have him remove another one and he dug so deep it left a horrible mark on my back. It is embarrassing. It has been probably 2 years ago and it has not gotten any better. I would stay away from this so called doctor.
I trust Dr. Tankel with his decision. I recommend him highly. I have been seeing him for over 30 years.
He is a good doctor but dealing with his incompetent staff overshadows any positive aspects of a visit. Anticipate problems if you choose this practice.
The receptionist took all my insurance info and made the appointment, but when I came to the appointment they said that the appointment was cancelled and then that they don't accept my insurance. I've found the name of dr. Tankel on UHC website under my ID of approved providers and then the appointment was cancelled. Nobody called me about the cancellation
Certainly knew his medicine, treatment always appropriate, but severely inhibited in speaking, either reluctant or incapable.
Office staff pulled the wrong file and when I pointed out that it was not my file she was argumentative. She also referred to me as "mamy". I am an a American adult female not a spanish senora. The Doctor was very nice but always seemed exasperated.
She gets the job done. She can use a bed side manner brush up ,but I trust her competence. I had Mohs surgery and she did a great job.
