I came in complaining of unusual fatigue and with nothing other than a thyroid test, basically told me I felt 'old & tired' because I WAS old & tired...not taking into account I am a cancer survivor. My next mammogram diagnosed breast cancer & after the lumpectomy, my energy returned. The only black mark against the tnire Tahoe Forest Health care system.

I went to see Dr Barta for chronic headaches, I was hoping she’d help me figure out the cause and refer me to a specialist if necessary. She gave me a basic exam, asked a few questions, and told me I was just getting old (43 at the time). No referral, no treatment. That’s unacceptable. Now I have a great neurologist who diagnosed intractable migraines, tension headaches, spinal issues and a fractured vertebrae I didn’t know about. Dr. Barta helped me identify and confirm my issue guickly. She coordinated my meeting with wonderful surgeon. I was in surgery shortly thereafter. having a positive experience from start to finish. Thank you, Hilary
