Got picked up at Bally’s Casino and taken to Lakewood. No medical services given, EMTs let me throw up on my clothes before giving me a vomit bag, and charged almost $2200 for the service, almost as much as hospital with doctors, nurses, and testing. Absurd charge. No wonder the medical system is broken. Not sure how Gilpin County Board justifies these type of charges.
I couldn’t be more thankful for the kindness and care the EMTs and staff showed my family when we needed it the most. They were calming, professional, and made sure my son made it to a higher level of care safely. A million thanks to you all.

On Nov. 13th, I was gambling with my husband at Johnny Z's in Central City. My nose started bleeding from both nostrils very bad. We couldn't stop the bleeding and it was decided to call the ambulance. As soon as I got in, Courtney took my blood pressure, which was about 2--/1--, and all the way to Lutheran Medical Center, she talked to me and asked me questions which settled me down considerably.
