UPDATE April 2024: The Gilmore membrane roof installation failed, came up from the roof decking and had to be replaced. Our insurance company sent an inspector to look at the problem. That insurance inspector said the damage was not covered because the membrane had NOT been correctly installed when Gilmore installed it. Quitea nightmare they ran screws thru my rafters into electrical lines and refused to pay repAirs. Also only put one plumbing stack of two out the roof. Fireplace chimney leaks like hell
had him come out to check on roof for replacement 2 weeks ago said he will get numbers together and meet me with the estimate in 2 days and didnt hear from him called and left message after 4 days still no response from him
Gilmore Roofing from Belton, SC refused to correct installation problems on a membrane roof they installed----even though it is under warranty. Problem #1: During installation, they did not want to terminate the edges of the membrane how I thought would provide the maximum leakage protection. I prefered they overlap edges of the membrane over the edge of the flashing.
