AVOID!!! First of all, this place is a real dump; I was afraid of possible snakebites when I first waded into the joint. Secondly, I agree with the previous reviewer; the owner indeed tends to look down his nose at everyone who walks in. I took a clock there to be repaired a couple of years back; it took forever for them to "fix" it and I wasn't at all pleased with the results. I could have probably done a better job of repairing it myself by taking a hammer to it.

I am tiring of their poor service and hostile atittude I brought my pocket watch to Don Gillis on four different occasions. Twice, it came back with new problems. His attitude is testy, if not hostile, on the phone and in person. They simply do not know how to fix ordinary antique pocket watches. I had to eat the money I paid and sent it to a much more skilled facility to repair. I then tried having an antique clock with Gillis. Jewelry and Clocks There are two sides to this long-established business, both part of the same store front. The jewelry side of things is presided over by the mother of the gentleman who repairs clocks and watches on the other side.
