Great Company - Professional, Quality Work at a Fair Price: The 2 shore power systems on our very well maintained 2013 Tiara would not connect to new pedestals at marinas where a new dock power system had been installed recently. A big marine electronics company in Fort Lauderdale charged us $1200 to look at the problem and said we needed to replace our AC & DC electric panels at an additional cost of $10,000 to $12,000. I’ve had a long relationship with Ralph at Gillen Marine. Originally I talked to him about zipwakes. He gave me a lot of info and really helped me. I ended up going with more heavy duty Humphrees but I never forgot how Ralph helped me. So when my Lewmar anchor windlass seized up I gave Ralph a call. After taking it out and trying to service it, it was determined that the main shaft had cracked and it was probably going to cost more to fix than to replace given its condition. Helped me with a complicated problem on a Fischer Panda generator. Always return my calls. CHARLES was amazing. Very comfortable in approaching them for questions. Will be a long time customer.
42’ Sailboat. Engine, backstay went out in Black Sound Exuma. Had to sail to Bimini with a NW wind at 5-10 knts, so 5 days tacking in the bank. Talked to Claire who got us scheduled. Got to Gillen. Diagnosed the engine and transmission and v drive were kaput. Ordered rebuild 4108 with transmission and a rebuilt v drive. Charles Robb worked with TADiesel to assure the V drive would work. Got up and running and out Port Everglades and back home to St Simons Ga. Highly recommend this great team!
