I had them replace the 50-HP diesel engine in my 44-ft sailboat. Written estimate said it would cost $12,334, which was in the middle range of estimates I got. But the itemized estimate also said, in bold capital letters, "WORK TO BE PERFORMED ON ACTUALL(sic) TIME AND MATERIAL!!!!" So their estimates are meaningless. I used Gillen YS to investigate a Long standing issue with my ZF Mathers throttle system. Froilin was able to disassemble and inspect the system and make gain adjustments to servo motors resulting in a correctly operating system with no alarm issues. Highly recommended.

I’ve known Dave Gillen Sr. and trusted his shop to perform repairs & maintenance on my 70’ steel trawler for 8 years. Recently while travelling south, I lost all power to my hydraulic steering system.
