Got my truck in fast and got it fixed
I noticed erratic outside temperature readings and tried resetting the ambient temperature by holding the Re-circulation and A/C buttons, as I had done with my previous 2019 Sierra 1500, but it did not work. The issue was obviously a faulty ambient temperature sensor, which the service department did an excellent job of replacing for me.
I took my vehicle there about 2 weeks ago and let them do an oil change. Staff was friendly. Price wasn't terrible. Today I raised the hood to add washer fluid and found that they did NOT put the oil cap back on! We've been driving for 2 weeks with the oil cap off and had no idea. We're praying that there wasn't a whole lot of dirt that got into the engine because of this mistake.
