Good company!
I have found Gilco Scaffolding will cheat private contractors, do not pay their bills if they think they can get away with it, or do whatever they have to do, to grift the big money. If they can find a situation to maybe get away with not paying one of their bills, and leave you with the expense, they’ll probably do it. This is a company that’s most likely going to look for any way they can to rip you off, and they don’t seem to care how bad it hurts you financially. The owner is a complete CON man! It is horrendous and PATHETIC how he takes advantage of brokers and carriers by refusing to pay his invoices AFTER they have hauled his material! He needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau immediately! Clearly untrustworthy and completely unprofessional! I wouldn’t advise doing business with Gilco at all, ever, to any extent. If i could have left 0 stars- I would have!
Do not do business with this company. They short pay their bills & take advantage of their vendors. I ended up paying $1800 out of my own pocket to reimburse carriers hauling their material. Tom Gilbertson, the owner, flat out refused to pay their agreed-upon rate, months after the fact & we were forced to send to collections. Terrible, cheap, and unprofessional. They need to stop selling scaffolding & barriers, and start hauling trash because Gilco = Garbage.
