Beautiful, clean campus and cookies baked by kind hearted volunteers deceive vulnerable families and keep high ups rich. No education or info given by Drs or nurses re the meds being discontinued and the ones they plan to use. Never saw a Dr in the building and the mystery Dr was not available to talk ever. Yanked my grandmas meds at admission and forced her to suffer withdrawals from 3 psych meds that UNDISPUTEDLY cause horrible withdrawals. I used Gilchrist 20 years ago for a loved one and had a so-so experience, but I was hopeful that when my grandfather enrolled in the home hospice in 2023 that things would have improved. Sadly, my experience was so much worse. My grandfather was in their care for 1 year and I was the family's point of contact for the last 4 months when his health went downhill. One of our concerns was the med supply companies they use. We waited days for oxygen and weeks for proper dressings for his bed sores. We sometimes were without glove... read more
We were so vey appreciative of the kindness we were shown during our father's brief stay at Gilchrist. They thoroughly explained what to expect, made sure that he was comfortable, and that we had everything we needed. Thank you again for being there for us during such a sad time.
