Nice hardware store Staff is EXCELLENT! Very helpful and informative. This business is located off Harper Avenue, with parking located behind it. It can be a bit busy sometimes. Parking isn't big either, can be limited. Staff is plentiful and they all know what they are doing. If they feel that you may be better served purchasing something other than what you came in for because it might be more helpful or appropriate, they aren't afraid to let you know. Great Hardware We have always been able to find what we need at Gilbert's Hardware. The staff is always helpful and know their hardware, always give great customer service. Gilbert's has a very good selection of products and you can usually find just the right thing. Parking can be difficult, but worth the effort.
Gilberts pro shop is the best!! I went in for some crazy glue and when I was looking around a worker was busy at the time but had a second to ask me what I needed and pointed me in the right direction. Once that same worker was done with his customer he made sure to check to make sure I was getting just what needed. Even ask if I needed anything else. Such awesome service that will keep me from coming back. Best hardware store in scs.
I am glad there is one store int he city where I can get the hardware supplies for older houses. Yes, the prices could be a bit steep, but is necessary to maintain supplies for unique hardware's. I find Gilbert's friendly and helpful at all times. I sympathize with Jessica and agree with her but sometimes we are human and to err is human.
Use topsoil to raise the grade around the house to water-proof the basement. Keep water away and the basement will dry up! Mr. Hardware
I was disappointed in the service I received at this little shop. I went in expecting great customer service, but left very disappointed. I special ordered an item and when I was disappointed with the way it turned out, instead of trying to correct it the owner got angry. Go to a chain, at least they are willing to listen and make you happy and not so worried about losing a buck!

Window & Screen Repairs for DIYs One of the few Mom & Pop operations around, with an updated feel. I just love going into this store to get odds and ends and to talk to the staff. Everyone is really hepful and their website's tips & Tricks is great!
