My dog had an unfortunate encoulter with another dog at Faywood Hot Springs, where we were staying. I got a hold of Gila, and they said to bring her in. She was seen right away and taken for sutures. The staff is wonderful and caring. My dog got to spend a week in a e collar, which came off today. She is so grateful, as am I. Thank you being such great helpers for dogs with poor judgment!
Worth his weight in gold Dr. Wilmeth used to be our regular veterinarian when he was still located here in Chaparral, NM. He was always willing to take a moment to explain if we didn't understand, always willing to go the extra mile after hours, and several years later, and a couple hundred miles away, he still takes my calls when I need his help. Great clinic.A+ I have used Gila Animal Clinic for 12 years. Twice for emergencies. On both occasions it was after hours and the vet was at the clinic before I was. The second time he saved a pup that had eaten snail poison. I have only the highest praise for Dr.Wilmeth and his staff.
No GO Find care elsewhere. We brought in a beautiful perfectly healthy puppy for its first shots and 3 hours later, she was dead. Broke my daughterâs heart and the family as well, because she had the best personality of any dog. I called the vet and got the uneducated silver city reject on the front counter who could not have been any more rude or uncaring. Excellent staff I have been going to Gila Animal Clinic since we moved to the area 6 years ago. I have had excellent service and outstanding care from Dr. Wilmeth and his staff. When the wildfire got close to our house last year, they took in my dog and cat no charge while we were evacuated for a couple days. My pets don't fear the vet going here and there is a high level of respect and care for my animals.
Hang on to your wallets folks!!! I have been using this Vet service for years, but no longer. I have paid high fees to this Vet than compared to other Vets in the area out of loyalty. Toady I ordered some meds through 1800petmeds because I could buy the meds for 1/3 the price charged by this Vet. The Vet had to write the presciption but not unless I paid $8.00 for the written prescrition. NM law states that the vet can not force you to buy form thier business but this vet tries to charge so you don't get the savings you were... read more
RecommendedI took my two dogs to a rattlesnake prevention clinic two years ago. It was one of the best investments I have ever made.
I highly recommend them, I've gone to the other's in town over the past years and Dr. Wilmeth and all his staff have been the best. I feel like family with them and not just another patient's mama. Thank you.
The staff and doctor is most gentle and kind not only to the pet but to the owner... I will never go anywhere else
