I contacted Gikas via the website, and immediately was contacted by George to schedule an appointment for an estimate. We arranged it for the next day. Very prompt. We discussed all the repairs in addition to the painting. Alex contacted me at the start of job, and handled all scheduling and updates. Everything was done as expected. No surprises. Alex promptly took care of any question I had, and quickly addressed any concerns.
GIKAS Painting and Contractors did a superior job painting the exterior of my c, 1960's cape cod extended home. Theirs was the third of four estimates I received for the project. George, the owner, came out the same evening I called to walk around the house with me and give his professional assessment of what needed to be done, along with a knowledgeable and competitive quote. Great experience with Gikas under very difficult conditions. I had an issue with my insurance company, requiring the replacement of the roof and gutter system. They gave me very little time to make the corrections (and they are no longer my insurance company!) George came out right away and the team did the work under very hot and humid conditions. George came to assess my property and promptly established a price quote that was the most reasonable of all the quotes we received, and George’s quote even included all new gutters! The other quotes were just for carpentry and exterior painting. The team came the Friday before work was supposed to start to make sure they came prepared for day 1. We had Gikas do full exterior painting/staining and change gutters. Good overall experience and the team was professional, friendly, and prompt. Service from Alex was very good, he was responsive and attentive to detail as well.
