Treats the families of decedents like they're transactional. One of my favorite quotes from Alena/Elena to my grieving mother who is next of kin and DOES have final say and DOES have to give consent-- especially during the portion of the call where she conveniently stopped recording for *privacy purposes* "Well, unfortunately the decision to donate is legally binding so you can't do anything about it." Classy.
Insanely rude over the phone. Condescending, above all.
They were nice, caring and compassionate. They kept me informed every step of the way when it came to my son's donation. I needed to know arrivals and departure of each destination from the time he left the hospital, until he arrived back at the funeral home. They even asked if there was anything I wanted them to say before the actual donation started. Darian was a recipient of multiple replacement heart valves. He was 25yrs old with 6 open heart surgeries under his belt. He was the true definition of a soldier. He would hav... read more
