I was going to a separate clinic and all of my loved ones convinced me to find someone for a second opinion and I should switch clinics anyways. The other office I was going to felt like I was rushed in and out, I spent more time in the waiting room there than with an actual doctor/nurse/assistant/staff, I felt like they didn't care about me and I very much felt like a medical guinea pig. I had my second baby at Gifford years ago and received the BEST possible care before, during, and after delivery. It was the complete opposite experience from having my first baby at a large city hospital at my previous location. I have continued to use Gifford midwives for my preventative health and have found them to be caring and competent in all ways for all ages and stages. We are so fortunate to have Gifford in our community.
I came here when I was about 11 weeks pregnant to begin prenatal care. I met with one of the OBs who went over my medical history and beginning stages of my pregnancy. He said everything looks like it was off to a great start. The following appointment I met with a midwife, who was not so nice, and continuously mentioned my weight.
