Our fee is based off of the square footage of the home, condo, or commercial building you would like inspected. Our reports cover the Standard of Practice by the state of Massachusetts. Our reports include; interior, exterior, attic, roofing, grounds, structure, basement/lowest level, heating/cooling system, plumbing, bathrooms, kitchen, electrical, and appliances. It really does pain me to give somebody who seems like a very nice person such a negative review, however, I’m hoping Skip Gibson takes this to heart. I’m leaving him two stars instead of one because he’s a nice guy and I do think he knows his stuff. My first suggestion is, if he is conducting your home inspection, make sure you follow him around to every area of the house with a checklist of your own. This was our second mistake. Skip is very diligent in his work as a home inspector. He explains what he finds during the inspection in layman’s terms and provides a solution to any issues he finds. His report is extremely detailed, and the photos he provides are beneficial. I’m a repeat customer because of his knowledge and professionalism. I’d highly recommend hiring Gibson Home Inspection.
As a first time home buyer the inspection is probably the scariest part of the home buying process. I felt like Skip did a great job explaining the procedure of the inspection and giving advice on preventative maintenance.
