In good faith I bid on a supposedly late 16th century Venetian candlestick in this guy’s auction. I won it at $2,625. only to discover that it is a repro. This guy, Fred Giampietro, fought me tooth and nail when I wanted to return the falsely described item. He pointed out all his disclaimers in his “conditions of sale” that gave the buyer’s practically no rights to return bogus items.
