In good faith I bid on a supposedly late 16th century Venetian candlestick in this guy’s auction. I won it at $2,625. only to discover that it is a repro. This guy, Fred Giampietro, fought me tooth and nail when I wanted to return the falsely described item. He pointed out all his disclaimers in his “conditions of sale” that gave the buyer’s practically no rights to return bogus items. I had a horrible experience. I am devastated!!! I had a very expensive ring set that was appraised for over 16,000. (James Allen) They were appraised by my homeowners insurance.(Allstate) I trusted Fred Giampietro of New England Auctions to get me top dollar. I feel that I wasn't represented well by him. We spoke briefly about auctioning my rings, i then agreed to auction my rings, and signed the contract.
