Fantastic modern Italian cuisine and wine choices. My wife and I loved the food, atmosphere, and service. The food alone would get me to drive across town!
My husband and I went to Gio Vista Restaurant and Winery the other day for his birthday and we had a wonderful experience! The cuisine is a modern take on traditional Italian food. Everything we had was packed with flavor, even a simple Caesar salad, which they put their own little twist on and you can tell they made the dressing fresh! They also make their own wine in-house. The service was excellent and attentive and the dining area was cozy and quaint. I highly recommend the pappardelle and crab cakes.
The place is so quaint. Music is great. Such a cool place. The eggplant appetizer is so so good !!Lamb Bolognese was solid. Lemon cake dessert was so good. Absolutely loved this place. And our server was so sweet !! Can't wait to go back for the greens and beans and eggplant!!
I was in a party of 6 ladies on Tuesday the 28th at 6pm to celebrate birthdays. By 6:20 both our bottles were open and we were sipping wine. By 6:25 we put in our order for appetizers, and dinners, Bruschetta, the Dandelion Sausage and the cheese and meat tray. 6:45 we were STILL waiting for an appetizer. This is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (PA). 5 star food, service and ambience – for a more than fair price. A must try for everyone - even if Italian food isn't your favorite dish, you'll be glad you went.
