We had such a great time hunting ghost crabs with our guide, Zachary! He was very kind, fun, and educational to us about some nocturnal animals that we might see alongside the ghost crabs, and he showed us many safe ways to scoop up these adorable little guys. We already want to come back next time we’re around OBX!
Zach created a very wonderful experience for families catching ghost crab. The beginning was informative and a great learning lesson for the kids. We were very shocked to see how many ghost crabs come out at night. We worked together as a family to catch over 20 of them. Some were babies, some were quite large. We strongly recommend you consider booking a night to catch ghost crab with Zach!
10/10 recommend. Great night activity to do with the kids. Adults and kids are talking about it days later. We booked a private tour for our group of 10 and Zach did a fantastic job keeping us entertained with his introductions, knowledge, and helping us find crabs.
Such a fun experience! We have sons ages 4, 6, and 8, and this will be the highlight of their vacation. The educational portion at the beginning was very interesting, and Zach made it right at the kids’ level and engaged them. We learned a lot. The ghost crab catching part was exciting and really different than anything we’ve done before. Zach was an excellent guide. Highly recommend!
Booked a private tour for 7, ages 4 to 42. We had an amazing time! We showed up at about 8, our guide Zach had everything set up and ready. We learned about some sea creatures, got the run down on catching ghost crabs, and started our quest. The first 30 minutes or so were slow, it was still pretty light out, then the sun went down and we caught so many crabs! We loved this experience and felt it was a great value for an evening of fun for all ages!
