We contracted with GFL for our commercial retail plaza in Troy. We had repeated issues with the truck drivers and the billing dept. Our contract with GFL was specific to prevent runaway increased pricing, which their standard contract allows them to do. We had a 5% cap on annual increases to allow us to properly budget, otherwise they increase fuel and add'l fees as much as they can (note, the costs never go down even when gas prices go down, so it is not correctly tied to market changes). Good luck getting your trash picked up
Literally does not ever pick up my trash. Judging by the reviews seems like a pretty common issue. Hopefully the city drops them at some point.
Have had continued issues with them not picking up our trash or recycling. Customer service is rude and tries to gaslight us that it’s our fault even though we put our trash out on time. Trying to contact them by phone or online is near impossible because their website doesn’t work and you will be on hold with customer service for at least an hour and a half EVERY TIME. DO NOT use this company, you will not be provided the service you paid for.
The perfect example of a subsidized monopoly.
