I live in Shallotte, NC. Recently, about 2 months ago, our town stopped paying for recycling. As residents we would be responsible for paying for our own recycling, if we choice to. I choice to stay with GFL. Here is where the fun began. I was was told by someone in the GFL office that I could sign up online. Well, I couldn't. I did call the office and after spending almost 1 hour with a representative, I was able to setup and pay for my account. The service seems fine but the corporate/business office is confused and full of errors they double charged Me they over charged me their accounting department is far from capable or nimble to make simple changes. The messed up my pick up dates.I had to call them at 5 times to try to straighten out my account.

We have a walk up service, and watched the truck fly by our house on pick up day. Called right a way and advised the company of the situation they said they would notify the driver and have him pick up by 6 that day. This did not happen! Called the very next morning and advised them they never picked up. They said someone would pick up today, by 4:30 no one had picked up, called again! Now told it won’t be until Monday! Hot 🥵 outside, trash stinks, it’s full and flies are everywhere! Horrible service!!!
