This was amazing! Great views and Valerie was so much fun. Highly recommend.
Went here with my boyfriend over the weekend. Goats were fabulous and extremely friendly and well fed, host was fantastic and a great historian of the area, and all around an amazing experience. We first saw this excursion on Airbnb and thought, ”lol that could be fun”. Little did we know this would be the best/ funniest part of the trip. From goat racing to being belly bumped by thicc goat girls- it’s an experience we will never forget. You’ve goatta go!
My family was staying in the Estes Park area and my adult kids found Valerie Solheim's Get up and Goat (hike the old miners Trail). This was a fabulous activity for me, my adult kids and five-year-old grandson. We also had my 11-month-old grandson along. Valerie was wonderful at giving a sense of what the West was like since the 1800s. She invited those that were interested in going into a small area of an old gold mine gain the experience. This is an experience I stumbled upon on in Airbnb and it is the one of the best animal tours I have ever been on. My wife and I hiked with our friendly tour guide Valerie, her 4 goats, and her awesome Australian Cattle dog for about 2 hours in the beautiful mine trails in the mountains of Boulder County. It is one of those once in a lifetime experiences. Super fun. If you like hiking or goats... You should book an appointment!
