Her gentle, welcoming demeanor immediately put my son at ease — he actually enjoyed the experience. I highly encourage you to reach out to Misty Bonta if your child is not receiving the proper services needed via their school special education team. My identical twin daughters were struggling at every subject and growing increasingly frustrated with school with each school year that passed by. I was told by the upper elementary special education lead to just accept that neither would ever be at grade level due to having ASD and to be happy that they ate both nice girls. Misty is an excellent educational psychologist. She is compassionate and experienced. She is a go-to person for me when I need a colleage to collaborate with or consult with. I have also attended several of her workshops, which are well-organized and informative. She is an amazing presenter. Highly recommend her services.
Misty is FANTASTIC! In 2024, I was struggling with my daughter's school implementing a BIP in her IEP.
