Haandi Pakistani & Bengali Restaurant is a solid spot if you’re craving authentic desi comfort food in New York. The menu has all the classics you expect and they do them really well. We tried the samosas, nihari, chicken biryani, goat chops, and beef masala—everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and felt genuinely homemade. When you are In Manhattan and you don’t want to take food from Food cart and you want halal Desi especially Pakistani food. Then Handi is the place. Don’t expect a Hi-Fi lobby or dinning room. Just a decent sitting place and may be you have to wait because sitting area is small. But the food quality is great. Every thing we tried had a very delicious desi taste. Overall great nice place to eat .
This place has no sense of cleanliness or hygiene. The food also looked stale like it was cooked the previous day or so. We walked out and NEVER EVER coming back. We didn't care that much but the food was quite overpriced for the portions. There are much better options elsewhere; we went to SARAVANAA BHAVAN (East 26th and Lexington) which is a clean and a delightful place.
