I have been going to this gym for about 10 years now. Only because it was the only viable option in Davis. First off, post covid when they moved all members to this location, I exchanged emails with management where they PROMISED me they would keep my original membership rate until the day I cancel my membership. We have a love-hate relationship with Get Fit Davis. It's almost in our back yard and has all the equipment and classes we want. But it's often SO dirty and run-down. The showers are just gross, and some of the weight equipment is torn and literally taped together. Worst, we members tell management about the issues again and again, but they are DEAF TO US. Find someplace better if you can, but like us, you may be trapped by the local monopoly.

I went here for years, since membership used to cost about $40 and there was different owner. I canceled my membership once and during that time and it was fast and easy. Back then you can cancel it at the front desk. I recently moved out of Davis and for the past 3 months I've been trying to cancel my membership by filing out a form and emailing it to management, as stated on their website, but they still keep charging me. It's a decent enough place, staff is nice and all that, but they're really pretty expensive for the equipment being in pretty bad condition. It's still technically functional most of the time, but it's a bit annoying to be working with the gimmicks of a lot of the equipment.
