Our annual Pismo Coast Village trip this year, was the second time we’ve used Get Away RV Rental. Last year the experience convinced us that it was the way to enjoy camping again. We made, what we thought was, early reservation looking for a small trailer for the two of us. We weren’t early enough, and the only thing available to match our timing was a 30 foot trailer. My reason for one star is their “Upgraded” Statement for three out of six rentals. We all received shorter travel trailers, our bed required a step to get on and the shower only dribbled out water. They offered to bring “The one we ordered” and we would have to remove and replace everything. Why didn’t they bring the right one in the beginning? Ours was three feet shorter and the bathroom smelled like raw sewage. NEVER AGAIN! Beware of the bait and switch.
This was the first time we had elected to rent a trailer vs an entire motor home for a long weekend trip around SLO. Alisa was awesome and extremely helpful with the booking. Pick up and drop off along with set up at the full hookup camp ground was extremely easy! We rented the trailer with the fireplace and 1 slide out for the table area. The entire experience was a blast! We can’t wait for the next time. Highly recommend Get Away RV!
MDC XT16HR ISLAND TRAILER Review The MDC XT16HR ISLAND is the perfect trailer for a couple that enjoys outdoor adventure travel whether it be off grid or an established campground with 30amp hookup. Get Away RV & Marine in Templeton made our purchase experience seamless. Owner, Craig Hanson, went to great lengths to assist us in a timely and smooth purchase process which included arranging a visit to the impressive Buena Park manufacturing facility to get a tour of the trailer's many features. Our maiden voyage took us to ... read more
