I first met Dr Gershenwald in Nov 2007 after being medevac out of Iraq. Turned out to be stage four melanoma. He used ILP on me and saved my life then. For 18 years since my melanoma, it has returned 5 or 6 times. Luckily for me melanoma research has been remarkable and new drugs like Keytruda have made me cancer free. Thanks for Dr Gershenwald to allow me to live long enough for this drug to be developed. Thank you for letting me live all these years (70) with my family.
I'm still around, thanks to Dr.Gershenwald. I'll always be grateful for his skill and calming demeanor, which is what I needed during those dark days.
