still a place i trust the most for my little one. someone always answers the phone promptly during business hours. the waiting area is always tidy and stocked with things for kids to see and do. thankfully, the tv is rarely on. the front desk staff is friendly, efficient, and informed. the nurses are great with little ones. the doctors take time and are always ready to get to the bottom of the issue - if there is one! my kiddo marches in there confidently more often than not.
Horrible doctor’s office. Booked annual well visit /physical for my 2 kids. Got there in time for my appointment and was told the appointments were cancelled because there was no insurance in file. Bear in mind, I’ve been self paying for my kids medical bills from the same doctors office and was there last week due to my son having a broken thumb and I self-paid. They close for lunch 12-1:30 they don’t even accept calls and even if you knock on the door they don’t answer! I was in Labcorp just 4 minutes away from them needed to get a copy of the doctor order because they didn’t send it electronically and went in person to knock the door even called the number that’s for FedEx and UPS just trying to get a human and no one answered! Had to waste 45 minutes to go home and drive back to give the lab the work order copy I got, all while my poor child is fasting and crying of hunger.
Double billed us for visits. Charged me $20 copay when it was supposed to be $10. Misdiagnosed croup. Had to go to the emergency room because of this.
As first time parents, it’s imperative to have a pediatrician who not only comforts the child but also the parents and creates a calm, nurturing experience for the patient. While Dr. Malik’s bedside manner overall wasn’t too bad, one issue that my husband and I had was the constant concern over our baby’s weight. She was making gains each month but because she didn’t fit perfectly in their percentile, we were told that her weight was “regressing”. This was misleading and upsetting.
