We have rented equipment several times with no problem. This last rental of a lift on a Saturday evening. The next morning at 9am my husband got stuck in the air twice. (My husband is an electrician & has yrs of experience with equipment). The neighbor had to bring a ladder over to get him down. He called to notify the office that their lift was not working correctly at 9am om Sunday. Finally at 3pm on Sunday afternoon they called back & my husband informed of the issue. RecommendedI have rented many times from the Overland Park Ks store through many changes in names. Always friendly folk, equipment good, price right. Why the low rating this time? I rented a 21" lawn mower as mine broke in the middle of cutting. The mower that Gerken gave me was not the one pictured as it was self propelled type. The one I had was like pushing an elephant. Rental agreement signed, paid in advance suppose yo be delivered at 10 am. Called and was lied to saying that the towing company had left at 9 and would be there anytime, this was at 10:15. At 11:15 still no lift I call and was told that the towing company had to turn around due to construction. Called the towing company who told me that Gerken didn’t call them until 9:15 and they didn’t leave Gerken until after 10. THIS COMPANY HAS NO REGARD FOR ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES. this place will give you non working equipment then when equipment is returned they will still charge you and then add fees on top of it. would not recommend as the owner will scam you just to make money.

I would not recommend this place for anything.. I'm a concrete contractor and rented a breaker due to mine getting serviced. I put it on my machine, a part falls off and breaks my $ 600.00 windshield, and the breaker wont even work(DID NOT USE IT BC IT WOULDNT WORK).. So I go back to their location, tell them what happened.. They wont even refund my money for the rental of the non working junk!!! ...I'll make sure I cost them well over what they cost me, I know several businesses that rent there, but I'll make sure I stop th... read more
these people are crooks. they send you random bills, lie to you on the phone, and now I have to take them to court..I will never do business with them again..I'm beside myself. but I guess when times are tough they need to make money too..
They had a rookie driver come to my property to dump or Johnny And he totally destroyed our driveway after I told him he does not need to pull down in our property he can reach the Johnny from the road, and he said he had 40 feet of hose but still yet decided to pull down in there and I cannot get to Paola people to call me back it’s been a week
their equipment is junk, their employees are not very well trained. a bunch of junk equipment
