In 1939 Joseph Gerber hired a local knife maker to build 25 sets of kitchen cutlery to be given as Christmas gifts. The knives were so popular that Joseph Gerber left his advertising agency to start Gerber Legendary Blades. The shipping and customer service have been appalling! I ordered a knife they had in stock almost a month ago, and still have not received it. I will never order a knife from them again. My money is gone and have no knife.
Gerber NO LONGER stands for excellence or complete customer satisfaction. I have owned my Gerber knives for ever, and my needle nose multi tool for 13 years. I recently bought a new expensive Gerber Blunt nose multi tool and had it less then 8 months. Well, I went to cut a piece of wire and the blades broke. I did not realize they were "replaceable blades" and are NOT warranted. Darn, they are expensive to replace and I can't afford to keep replacing them every 8 months or less.
