GFCU I have had a checking/savings account with Gerber Federal Credit Union for 9 years now,they offer what I was looking for in a bank/union. They have online services,you can log in and look at your account,move money around,transfer money into another account. They have two locations and are located in Fremont right downtown. They offer what other local banks dont and that's atm's that dont have a surcharge,if you use ATM'S located in Fremont,then you dont get charged a service fee. Great place to do buisness with! I have been a member for 7 years,I love that they have two banks located in Fremont,and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable,they have gone out of their way to make sure we are happy customers! They have a few ATM'S located through Fremont that dont charge you to take money out of your account,not like other banks that charge $2.00 for a service fee. Our kids love going to the credit union because they get suckers once in a while,they are very family friendly!

Kudos to the Gerber Credit Union. We could have been caught in an Ebay scam that would have cost us alot of money.
I wish that I had stayed with a for-profit. Independent Bank is an excellent local alternative that offers free checking.
Gerber not only gave out my account information to my ex who is not on my account but then instead of contacting me or the co-signer on a loan contacted my ex because they knew his mother and had him come in to take the loan.
I’ve had nothing but a negative experience with Gerber Federal Credit Union.
