I stopped by recently to ask about my front bumper that had a crack, that appeared to be falling off. The young guy at Gerber Collision stepped outside to look at it, and assured me it should be secure due to several clips holding it on all across the front and sides. He proceeded to go back inside and grab a couple extra clips to replace some that were missing, and adjusted it back into place. I offered to pay for his time and the clips, but he refused. After hitting a deer, we called around to the shops my insurance recommended using and Gerber was by far the ones who could get my car in and repaired the quickest. Rental car was ready. They were great to work with and I am happy to have my car back!
Had damage to the back of my car, once i came to pick up my car i found chipped paint on my hood, on my front bumper and the plastic piece in the front was also loose. After speaking to someone, he went and checked pictures of my car and confirmed that it happened there. Which was odd considering the damage was only on the back when i brought my car in.
I had a terrible experience with Gerber Collision & Glass in East Peoria. The lack of communication throughout the process was frustrating; I constantly had to call to get updates, and even then, the information was unclear and incomplete. The manager seemed to be the only one allowed to give information but was always “in a meeting”. The explanations about the work being done on my car were vague and undetailed.
