I am editing my review to say… Gerber called me. They apologized and offered vague ‘whatever we can do to make this right’ resolution. They did say that they are working on resolving these issues. Took my Jeep to their location for insurance. They sent it to Grismer tire. Insurance ended up totaling the Jeep. When I went to get my things, I found that someone had gotten into my car and stolen a pouch of change and $5 I kept in my console for emergencies. No it’s not much and I should have gotten it previously but it’s the principle. We trust these garages to protect our property. All I got was a shrug and an insecure sorry. I won’t be going back to either of these places.
I dinged my friends fender. Wasn't going thru insurance. The estimate was bloated with lots of hours and a $500 re-calibration fee for a radar option the car didn't have. I said I don't want that, and the rude estimator said it was not optional. $1750+ at Gerber, $650 at Dayton dent and paint on Dixie (they fixed it perfectly). Gerber would have been $1100 more for nothing. Why do you think insurance premiums are so much? It is my opinion that they are greedy, opportunists, and they don't care.
