I made the worst mistake I've ever made in regards to taxes, by leaving my former CPA (who charged me 1/3 the cost and got me the same amount in returns). Not only did these people take months to complete my taxes (when my former CPA took 2 hours), but they also don't accomodate you in paying for their services. Want a Credible Tax Professional? Someone who will be On Your Side? A company Honest, Reliable and Hard Working and who has been in business for over 20 years ? Then go to Gerald Dry. Which is where all the local business owners go too. That’s how I was referred to them and they’ve done great for me (despite the recent tax changes a -lol).

Worked with this company successfully for years, but the last 3 years (2020,21,22) have been horrible - poor communication, incompetence, no attention to details resulting in errors, and a procession of different preparers so that no one had accountability. Nothing got done until I contacted the office manager, and then only slowly. I moved to Cannon Tax and Accounting in Charlotte for assistance in preparing 2023 returns. Absolutely terrible place to file every since covid. And way way over priced. I have filled my taxes here for over 10 years. Went from paying around 200$ to going from 360-600$ in the past 3 years. They don’t tell you this until everything is all completed , so when I called to ask them to break down that price , they could t give me an answer and stated they charge 150 an hour , meaning they spent 4 hours on my taxes? I have personally used this office for 11 years of tax filing and am extremely disappointed in the service throughout the past 2-3 years. Despite having some of the highest preparation fees for a simple W2 return, they are completely unorganized and do not hold themselves accountable. We were included in the data breach and were assured our taxes were being handled accordingly and they were in contact with the IRS, when in fact, our identity was stolen and a fraudulent return had been filed 6 months prior.
