My son, who has autoimmune encephalitis, started seeing Dr. Chitters for medication management in 2022. Dr. Chitters was up front and said he didn’t know much about the condition, but we already came with meds that my son needed temporarily. Dr. Chitters is just okay. If it weren’t for the issues I’m going to articulate below, this would be a three-star review. But there are two serious issues with him. First, he over medicates. My son had some serious issues in the beginning and needed an antipsychotic. It made my son fat a... read more

Changed my life....twice. I originally saw Dr. Chitters as a referral from my therapist. This was back in 2008. He participated, along with the therapist, in my initial diagnosis of Bipolar II. I have no doubt that I am bipolar and am in complete agreement with his diagnosis. My management and control of the disorder has become one of the cornerstones of my lif... read more

I am a former client of Dr. Chitters and want to share my honest personal experience, both good and bad. I believe Dr. Chitters plays “by the book” in a very experienced and knowledgeable manner as far as specific medication prescription goes. I have no comment on the reviews I have seen on many other sites claiming he recklessly diagnoses people as bipolar—I knew that was my correct diagnosis before I sought treatment with him. I credit his expertise on that side of the field to getting me off unnecessary medications I was ... read more

Dr. Chitter's empathy and expertise saved my life. Almost 20 years ago I was suffering terribly. I could barely leave my house- couldn't hold a job, was self-medicating. I had seen other psychiatrists who couldn't get meds right or who were condescending, or both. I was truly ready to give up. Dr. Chitters diagnosed me properly, explained everything to me, gave me choices in my treatment, and treated me with respect. Within a few weeks I felt a glimmer of hope again, and things got progressively better under his care. Now I ... read more
