Dr. Burford has been my Primary Care Physician for more than 20 years. He's also the PCP for my wife. Dr. Burford is a quiet, mannerly local-grown gentleman who is highly respected not only locally, but is regularly listed among the top 150 physicians in the Jacksonville Metro Area. I was referred to this Doctor by my endocrinologist. I called the office to setup an appointment. The Millienum Group, staff told me that before he can see me, I have to fill out a survey before I can be seen. WHAT ARE THEY DOING, PICKING AND CHOOSING WHO THEY WISH TO SEE?? They would not mail it, they want YOU to go to their office and pick it up and mail it back. This is pretty bad service.
Dr. Burford has been my primary care physician for over 25 years. He always takes time to listen so he can pinpoint the problem and find the best solution. He sets a patient-centered tone for his office and his staff is always friendly and helpful. I don't mind waiting for him because I know he is spending time listening closely to someone else. A good doctor and a fine man all around!
Dr Burford is the best - the Gold Standard. He has a close relationship with his patients and an amazing ability to remember details about them. Dr Burford stays very current on all aspects of internal medicine, and stays up on many of the issues in some specialties. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida, and there are opportunities to meet young newly-minted doctors who are learning from a very bright, Caring professional who treats his patients like family.
Dr Burford is the worst doctor I’ve encountered in my life; he’s a plodder, works slowly, doesn’t like to listen, and loves the sound of his own voice. He’s probably okay as a primary care physician if you don’t have any health issues, but if you’re encountering problems, he’s not for you. Need a referral (some specialists insist on them and some insurances require them)? You’ll wait for a month or more... my current doctor processes them in a day or two. I just started going to Dr. Burford and was in agreement with the other 5 star reviews. He was very patient and meticulous. I look forward to more visits in the future with him as my doctor! The only thing I can say negative is that he may be too hard working and have too many patients, so it is more difficult to see him quickly.
Been getting dizzy lately!! Hopefully can find out the cause today!!
