Okay, for backstory I took the van search very seriously. Set up meetings with 7 different van builders (Sport Mobile and Papago Vans to name a couple). I very highly recommend a GeoTrek Mercedes Sprinter camper van. I have owned a GeoTrek since February ‘25 and travel often in it, mostly off-grid GeoTrek’s build and pricing run circles around the competition… who ought to be very concerned. From start to finish, Geotrek Vans has been phenomenal to work with. My husband and I are new to the camper van world and we did a massive amount of research on RV set-up with the Scout, leisure van, Airstream Basecamp, Bambi. The entire process with Geotrek was so smooth start to finish; the first call, all the questions I had about options and upgradability, the sales process (where they actually talked me out of some upgrades!), deposit, and the build was so fast!
