I have been a member of Georgia's Own Credit Union (formerly TELCO :) since 1974. Every time I walk in the door I am greeted by a smile and a big "hello". If you need to speak with a specialist, they have a list you sign when you come in and they assist you in the order of your arrival. The staff is friendly and helpful. I especially want to thank Jessica Laverdure, Personal Financial Specialist at the Century Center Branch. @MrDJ I do believe my bricks have more personality than the tellers at Georgia's Own Credit Union at the Century Center location. Almost 20 minutes is entirely too long to wait for someone to do a simple deposit. Perhaps a customer-facing job is not the right fit for them, since you can't teach nice.

Just opened an account. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with a bank. I heard credit unions were more customer friendly. Boy was I wrong. No one is available to pick up the phone call. Just endless prompts. When you do finally get ahold of someone they tell you a specialist will call you back. They don’t. Banker doesn’t doesn’t respond to my emails. I will be cancelling my account.
