A unique holiday and absolutely worth booking years in advance for. You'll stay in a large, warm, comfortable and well equipped historic home with a private garden which has a palace for a backdrop. Free access to the palace and gardens, free car parking spaces, close to the train station into London and a variety of places to shop, eat and drink, and it's all next to two vast public parklands. This is a large house with loads of space and a really interesting layout. You'll enjoy exploring the corridors and doorways. Most of the rooms are very big by modern standards, although there are a couple of smaller single bedrooms. The plumbing is pretty old fashioned - if you want en suite facilities for everyone you'll need to look elsewhere.
