My son had outpatient surgery, and Georgia Urology’s pediatrics billing process was far from transparent. We were quoted a flat fee for the procedure but were never told a third-party facility would be involved. We later received a separate bill from CHOA, the facility Georgia Urology uses because they don’t have their own surgical space. Recently my dad had an appointment with this practice. He sat in the waiting room for almost 30 min, then he sat in the patient room for almost 30 min, then he saw the doctor for about 4 min who ordered a PSA check, and then he sat another 30 min waiting for the nurse. He then walked into the hallway to find someone and found a nurse sitting at a computer, so he asked her to help him, and she acted very annoyed at being interrupted. This is extremely poor service. Waited an hour- once we were in the exam room, Jaleesa, NP came into the room. I’m not even sure that she made eye contact with my daughter, the patient. Jaleesa asked a few questions, didn’t mention repeating ultrasound as she had said she would do following initial visit. Jaleesa said everything appeared to be resolved and we wouldn’t need to come back. Trust me I wasn’t planning on coming back after that visit.
