I was referred to Georgia Cancer Specialists by my primary care physician for evaluation of a specific blood disorder. While I was able to get an initial appointment relatively quickly, everything after that became an exercise in patience and self-advocacy. Every appointment involved significant waiting, and the process repeatedly required taking additional time off work. I had rescheduled my appointment from 2:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. due to other work commitments, and I arrived at the clinic at 12:30 p.m. to be on time. However, despite waiting, I was not assisted promptly. Someone who arrived after me was given preference, and when I raised this concern, the staff was not helpful. Additionally, one of the receptionists (not the one handling check-ins) was dismissive, gave me a side-eye, and spoke to me in not so empathetic manner.
This review is for RN Linda. She is phenomenal!!! Caring, compassionate, good conversationalist while receiving infusion. Patient care is in the details and she goes above and beyond!
A great doc. Could have spent more time explaining what all the tests he ordered were for.
The Doctors are frantic, but the office staff is horrible. I hate calling and dealing with them, I hate checking out. Every one outside of my Doctor and his nurse makes this visit a nightmare. The last time I was in I had the worst blood draw of my life. You would think for a Oncology Hematologist the would know what they are doing, but based on my last experience, I am not so sure. I was not only jabbed 6 timed, but on their last try, the needle came out of my arm and blood spurted all over. Including my nice pair of Uggs. ... read more
