Moving here from Lexington- so far I’ve been really impressed with the customer service and the ease of switching everything over. I haven’t actually gotten my trash picked up or anything, but I’ve gotten a lot of information from the website and had some really helpful interactions with the employees. I appreciate that the office has a drive-through, too!
The Georgetown Crew showed up within an hour of my call. They nearly immediately found the problem and started digging. Very professional and productive group of workers. Five Stars.
I applied for service as a new resident several days before closing on my house. Instead of contacting me via phone or email to let me know that Kentucky American Water was the company that serviced my house in Georgetown, they did NOTHING. I had no water Saturday or Sunday. I’m hoping Kentucky American Water can get my water turned on Monday. This is absolutely pitiful. Obviously, they don’t go above and beyond to help people. I moved from out of state and didn’t not realize my mistake.
Trash service was fairly smooth until someone decided to change providers and go with the cheapest possible bid. Now my trash hasn’t been picked up for WEEKS. I’m about to drop off weeks worth of trash at the front of public works doorstep and let them deal with it. I’m also very irritated that I have no option when it comes to trash service. It’s automatically added to my sewer bill.
Their web site does not specify that you have to talk to someone to make arrangements for payment or that you can only do it if you don't have a past due amount. It allowed me to set up a date to pay my bill but my water was shut off today. When I called about it I was told that the scheduled payment option is only for current bills and you have to talk to someone in person to make payment arrangements. They need to fix this on their site so other people don't make the same mistake I did.
