The only reason I am giving a one star is due to Dr. Mandybur’s staff. The woman that answered the desk is rude. I had surgery back in 2013. I had a cage but in my neck and I’m having problems and no other spine. Doctor will touch that part of my neck because they are all very picky about that stuff. Dr. Mandybur is an excellent doctor, without a doubt, but when I am told he considers me a new patient by staff and he is not accepting. I asked what if another doctor will not touch me. I feel Dr Mandybur & Mayfield are the area’s most informed and up to date on spinal issues. I relax when he enters the room, and I trust he’ll tell me what I need - not what I want - to hear and my treatment plans were developed to help ME and not just to collect fees. I have always been treated with respect, kindness and total professionalism. Best doc, best org, why go anywhere else for brain & spine ? eric
Dr. Mandybur has always been very empathetic and understanding of my issue that causes my pain. He has always taken the time to explain every step of treatment. He was the only Dr. ( after seeing 5 plus) that had an effective alternative treatmeant plan. He has went far and beyond most physicians effort to provide me with my care. His office staff is friendly and careing also , but reaching them can be problematic. Be prepared to leave messages and play phone tag. I saw Dr. Mandybur for the first time and received a free evaluation. He took a great deal of time with me to explain my options. He was also very helpful in explaining my condition and why I have the pain that I do.
He has a very nasty attitude towards his patients on workers comp! He made very rude comments towards his disabled patients. Patients in misery that wish they could go back to work...
