Volunteering here is so much fun! Everyone is extremely pleasant and the hours are flexible. The discount on delicious (and nutritious) organic food isn't so bad either �
Great little place! Was in town went for a juice and also got the Falafel wrap both were yummy and met a wonderful young man who manages the place with a good spirit and open heart and mind!
I've been a customer and volunteer here since the summer of 2013. The amount of care and camaraderie that is available to anyone who frequents the George St. Co-op is a refreshing change compared to the buy-and-go atmosphere of major supermarkets that has now become the norm. Come to the co-op, start a conversation with any of the volunteers there (or the manager, John), and see how you can become a part of a local cause that genuinely supports the people that support it. You won't be disappointed!
