Probably a good doctor, but after a week of leaving messages with no return call, I gave up.
Total waste of time. I scheduled what I was told would be a phone appointment with the doctor. Instead, 20 minutes after the scheduled time, a nurse called to collect basic information. After about 10 minutes, she told me the doctor was busy until 6 PM and MAY call me . This was my very first interaction with the office, and before I even had a chance to speak with the doctor, the nurse said she would order a colonoscopy. I made an appointment as a new patient with Dr. Atia's office. A few days later they called me to take a different time and day. Okay, no problem. Then the day before the appointment I got a call from his office to ask me to change my time again. Okay, fine. On the day of the appointment I come in, do all the paperwork and then they stick me in a room for over an hour! Nobody came in to update me why it's was taking so long. Dr. Atia and his staff are wonderful. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and had to have a follow up endoscopy to look at a suspected mass. Each procedure went smoothly and I felt very well taken care of. His nursing staff and anesthesiologist are great. I do not have anything negative to say. Communication was good and I had a great overall experience.
Terrible care. I got very sick after an endoscopy. I called and left messages every day for a week. Never got a response, and I ended up in the emergency room. Even ER docs could not get ahold of him or his staff. Never got any biopsy results or call back. I reported him to the Medical Board and Medicare. He should lose his license
