Dr Atia recently did a endoscopy for me after I had significant stomach and esophagus pain, and he and his staff were absolutely amazing and wonderful. They got me in quickly. The procedure went very smooth. He spent a lot of time with me explaining what he found and recommended treatment in the staff has been wonderful with their follow up. I have been seeing Dr. Atia for about twenty years. He is a very nice doctor, and good in what he does. The issue is the staff. I don’t know, if he got new staff or what? I wanted to change my prescription back to the original strength, and they tell me I have to come in and have unnecessary blood work. I went to see my primary physician today, and told him what they told me. And my doctor shook his head in disbelief. Great Doctor Explained everything Great staff
Receptionist was very impatient and not helpful. I had a follow up appointment a month ago and no follow up message with instructions was emailed to me as promised. I was told I needed to submit bloodwork afterward the follow up appointment and I kept trying to send it. But the receptionist was very confused as to why I needed to send bloodwork even though I was told to do so by the nurse at the follow up appointment. The lack of communication between staff members was evident. I am definitely finding a new GI.
