Our practice was originally started in the 1950s by Mr Norman Jarvey. Mr Alan Templeton took over in the 1960s, and Stephen Wakeling took it over in 1984. Since then the business has grown through many changes, and we have streamlined it to what it is today. The most recent change was when we partnered with George & Matilda Eyecare, becoming part of a larger group of Optometry practices.

Buyers beware!! I recently purchased a pair of lenses and frames, at considerable cost, from the team at Ormond, George and Matilda Eyecare. Within a month, the frames completely broke. After speaking with the technician he informed me that the cost of new frames and lenses would be at my expense. This whole experience was extremely disappointing, given the glasses didn’t even last 6 months.
It was my first visit. The optometrist and staff were very friendly. 10/10 service. Good vibes 😎
