I came here as a young boy I learned that it was ok for staff to put hands on you. Had a teacher smack my head off the concrete floor and another time our house staff wood tried to put me down on a flight of steps and that ended with a 400 pound person sitting on my back so I couldn't breathe don't get me wrong they did have some staff that I'll always be greatful of wish I had my year book from there still
I was a Court ordered placement from New Jersey (juvenile in need of supervision) I started there January of 1970 ... graduated June 1973..with top honors I am now 70 years old I learned a trade (electronics/ electrical engineering) Frank Speno was executive director..and Donald T Urquhart before him. I overcame severe learning disabilities due to their excellent teaching staff.. My story...John D
