I’m so thankful I was recommended to Nikki! I originally went to her because of my baby’s lip and tongue tie, but little did I know that after 3 babies, I still had SO much to learn about breastfeeding 😅 I gave up pretty early with my first two, but because of Nikki, I know my third journey will be way different. I have fostered babies but never birthed or breast fed a baby until this year. After fostering four babies, I had a lot of knowledge about newborns-but very little info on breast-feeding. I didn’t take a breast-feeding class before I gave birth. I went into the experience with a very open attitude-thinking if it worked out, then I would do it. Definitely recommend going to Nikki if you’re considering/planning on breastfeeding or pumping! The majority say it’s something that comes naturally, but as a first-time mom I will say no it isn’t. I am super grateful that Nikki was there to help guide me through it all! She taught me breastfeeding positions, pump flange sizing, exercises to release breast engorgement, helped identify tongue and lip ties, etc etc - and she did this all with so much compassion and patience and encouragement.
