I don't typically write reviews, but because this has happened on more than one occasion, I feel compelled to share my experience. I have worked in the senior living industry since 2008, and being a resident advocate has always been my top priority. Edit: 3 months after my mother's passing. During the most difficult time of my mother's passing, Gentiva Hospice was a guiding light. I was in denial at first because when we love our family so deeply, we don't want to accept that it's their time. But for an entire year, their team especially Vilma Rosen, Jacqueline Curet, Don Jose, Frances, Diane, and Jamayra helped me come to terms with reality. My family is currently with this group. The only reason we stay with them is because the other Hospice Groups are unreliable. The positive about this group is their "at home staff". Very caring people! The negative about this group is the office staff. Unfortunately for the hospice families, the Mon - Fri office staff are in charge of processing supply orders, making appointments with outside medical teams, and anything else your loved one needs. But for an entire year, their team—especially Vilma Rosen, Jacqueline Curet, Don Jose, Frances, Diane, and Jamayra—helped me come to terms with reality. Because we love them, it is better to accept this truth and avoid their suffering. They guided me with compassion and care, and for that, I am eternally grateful."
